I felt so lucky to go to the cabin this summer as their was a "5th week" that wasn't claimed and no one had asked to use it. My kids came and went throughout the week. Tyler, Cecilly and their daughter Claire, Rachel, Travis and their son Benjamin, and my two boys, Tevin & Trent. Kurt came on Saturday only due to some health issues.

You grabbed an 'extra' prime week!?! Cool! It's so fun to see 2 younger generations (gosh, I feel old!), enjoying the cabin! Thank YOU for sharing the photos. Not all of us are on FB!

    August 14, 2018 - New Mattresses

I wanted to post some pictures of the mattress project! The mattresses were ordered thru and delivered by Denver Mattress Company at Furniture Row in Draper, UT. The truck (a BIG truck) arrived around 4:30 PM on Tuesday, August 14th. Cherie and some of her children, (Todd, Trent, Tiffany, and Tevin) had taken all the old mattresses out of the rooms and vacuumed in preparation for the delivery. I tried to remember to cover everything in this blog post. There was a lot going on to take care of. Please do not hesitate to voice opinions, your questions, or your concerns about the mattresses. The mattresses have a 15-year warranty as long as the tags are on and they are not stained. We also have a 365-day guarantee, so we can exchange mattresses or foundations if needed. You are free to email me at cheriealvord@gmail.com.

August 2016 - Elizabeth North Family

We are enjoying our time at Pines Ranch! The gate has been unlocked since we arrived as the pasture is being used as a heliport for a fire on the other side of mtn. toward Smith-Moorehouse Reservoir. Firemen are camping out there, and we are happy it is just firemen and no fire! Also, tree trimmers are here to remove branches near power lines throughout Pines Ranch. Jamaica saw a small eagle on front deck, or back deck, (near the river), and a small deer has been seen a few times on the grass. THANK YOU to whomever purchased new hose. :) FYI – I threw out expired spices, toiletries, and2 moldy bathtub mats and a moldy bath rug from under bathroom sink. I replaced shower curtain liner, bathtub stopper, and sink baskets, and bath tub mat. We enjoyed a surprise visit from Jeff and Reesa Cornwall and Wendy & Walter (4 months). Jeff rode his bike from Provo one morning; Reesa his “support vehicle.” We enjoyed a fun afternoon and evening visit with Kurt, Tevin, Trent & Kayla, Travis & Rachel & Benjamin (7 mos), Tyler & Cecilly, and had BQ dinner and smores. (Cherie and Tiffany were on their way to Canada.) We celebrated Isabelle’s 17th birthday. And we played FARKLE! We had a delicious gluten-free breakfast at The Oakley Road Island Diner; great food & service & ambiance. The weather here is absolutely beautiful. Texas is very hot & humid in August. It’s fun t put on a sweatshirt to go out and see the stars. Wow! And to put on an extra blanket at night, and warm slippers and clothes for breakfast. THANK YOU for new lo-flo toilet!!! Great!!! CAUTION! Microwave oven turned ON spontaneously a few times. It could have been my dad saying “hi,” or it could be time to replace it. Keep reaker OFF until replaced. DO NOT store food in there!
