The BULLET HOLE window panes have been replaced – 3) Dining Rm, 1) Living Rm, 1) Kitchen Sink, 1) Downstairs Twin Bedroom, 1) Upstairs Middle Bedroom. Do NOT open these windows until glazing compound is set – several weeks. (These windows are marked w/blue tape.) *
TUB FAUCET is replaced. It is water conserving so the flow is not large. Shower works great. Do NOT crank handles. These are washerless ¼ turn valvues. Cranking hard will break units & NOT be effective in stopping drips.
CHIMNEY FLASHING Repaired. We had several rains this week. On the one downpour we found leaks attributable to the chimney. The entire roofing-to- chimney flashing is re-mastered. There looked to be an obvious crack/opening on the east cricket valley – which is where the leak was. This spot was well repaired. We had no rain after the repairs so the repairs remain untested. Repaird outside
WOODBOX lid (which was broken in half.) Cleaned out entire woodbox. Added drain holes. Swept ROOF of pine needles. SHED DOORKNOB stopped functioning. It was dismantled, oiled, reassembled & seems to be operating fine.
LAWN was lush and ong when we arrived. Cut 6/9. Rain kept it nice. Sun & fair weather the last few days has dried things out.

*Do not wash newly glazed windows for several weeks to let the glazing compound set & not be damaged by cleaning.
DISH DRAINER – It is good to have new dishrack & rainboard. Two suggestions: The drain board needs to be the type made to go over our top mounted sink. And, at least for our family, it needs to be “large” (15 ½ x 19 – like the old one), and the rack a large size, too. For the 10-12 we had at each meal, the new rack was quite inadequate. We looked at every store we could think of & found none that was made for a top mounted sink drain board. Sue & I will look online. We are responsible for overloading & silverware holder got broken. Sorry!
Kent measured for W/D at secondary fridge location. Stopped by Heber appliance & found 24” GE model will fit. (Better price elsewhere). Spec sheet pinned to wall above fridge. We will need to figure out how to remove the old fridge. It appears the walls were built around it.
